Red Wines

Côtes Catalanes - “Masia M” - 2003 - Roussillon Casenove $28.00 / $7.00
Grape: Carignan, Grenache
Country: France
This red dominates with a style that is deep and intense, yet still lively.
Although it is categorized under French wine law as a Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes, the quality of the wine
far exceeds its humble designation. The mix of wild, sun-roasted herbs is translated through the grapes
into the aromatics of the finished wine. Its color is a brilliant, crimson-ruby.
The bouquet is bright and lively with juicy raspberry and blackberry fruit scents
enhanced by hints of garrigue spice and lavender.
This is an excellent wine to sip on its own, for its luscious fruit and nuance-laden herbal complexity.
It's also a fine match for well-spiced Mediterranean recipes

Chateauneuf Du Pape – 2002 - Louis Bernard $65.00 / Bottle
Grapes: Grenache blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc Marsanne
Country: France
At its best, Châteauneuf-du-Pape white is a wine with a floral bouquet including daffodils and honeysuckle. Its generosity is highly marked by its pungency and fineness of flavor. The wines derive their uniqueness from several sources. The round red and cream-colored stones and galets, left by ancient Alpine glaciers, absorb the heat throughout the day and then reflect it onto the vines during the cool nights. As a consequence, the grapes reach maximum maturity. Furthermore, the vines here benefit from the cleansing winds of the mistral, which keep them dry and free of undesirable diseases.

Sancerre - “Les Pierris” – 2004 - Roger Champault $40.00 / Bottle
Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc
Country: France
Fresh, crisp minerality, good balance, dry, but lush. This wine is light gold in color. It smells like apples, flowers, light vanilla, and lemons. It is very aromatic. Very crisp, super tart on the finish, but still with a lot of fruit. It is very well-balanced. You feel like you taste some oak or some malolactic fermentation. At the very end, you taste flowers, and then lemons. You may also taste some peaches. Minerality in the middle, grassy, vegetal, everything. This is really good and complex, and though it's dry, it's not so bracing as to be uncomfortable to drink./p>
